As the VP Apprentice, you will be in charge of helping the Co-Presidents with chapter planning, regional conference, communicating with eboard members, competitions, and events.

As the Membership Apprentice, you will be in charge of helping the Internal Communications Director with creating and sending newsletter, keeping track of Members, brainstorming incentives for the Loyalty Program.

As the Creative Apprentice, you will be in charge of helping the Creative Directors create flyers and posters for AMA-UIC meetings and events, and design AMA shirts and other merchandise.

As the Outreach Apprentice you will be in charge of helping the director of Sponsorship with acquiring new partnerships with companies, following up with sponsors, and helping the organization gain sponsors for our regional conference.

As the Outreach Apprentice, you will be in charge of helping the Corporate Relations Director with emailing our guest speakers, reaching out to potential guest speakers, gain keynote speakers for regional, and hosting Tuesday events.

About Apprenticeship Program

The Apprenticeship Program is an opportunity for members to gain knowledge of leadership positions through our board members. 

Members in the program will shadow the executive board members throughout this year-long process.

Requirements

Active Member - Regularly attends meetings, events, is engaged.​

  • Year commitment to the program.

  • Must be available to meet (virtually/in-person) at least once a week and 1-2 hours a week to perform tasks.

  • Be able to handle different types of work & attention to detail.

Eligibility

  • AMA chapter member (AMA national member preferred)

  • Attend 90% of our events (Can’t miss more than 2 events)

  • Responsiveness to communication

  • Writing and planning skills (very organized).
