About PODS:
PODS was founded in 1998 by Peter Warhurst who was looking to expand his family’s storage
business. Warhurst invented PODS containers, as well as a hydraulic lift system that enables
operators to easily deliver and transport the units. PODS operates by delivering a storage
container to its customers’ location, which the customer packs themselves. The units can then be
stored at a warehouse or delivered to another location. The units and warehouses are a mix of corporate and local franchisees (75% of locations are company-owned). Now an industry leader,
PODS currently provides residential and commercial services in 43 U.S. states, Canada,
Australia, and the UK. To date, the PODS network has completed more than one million long-
distance moves, four million initial deliveries, and has over 220,000 PODS containers in
service.”

Testimonials

“My biggest takeaway was learning how to work with a team and synthesizing all
material into a cohesive strategy. This helped me understand how to work well
with others!”

"One of the NOLA ICC highlights was participating in the case competition. I've learned how crucial it is to be part of a team & learned different ways to brainstorm ideas! It has also been a great example to use during interviews!"
